Yay for socialism!

It's nice to read some level-headedness in the comment section. Anyone who can form such a hard stance one way or another after just 100 days in office usually already have their minds made up and aren't capable of being objective. Look I lean to the right on alot of issues, abortion, small government and the like but the way politicians and the media play each other and the public it's hard to know what opinion to form on any single topic. Is all of this spending necessary to save the economy from total collapse? What average person really knows? You get so much varied and slanted information that by the time a person can formulate an opinion, government has already set the wheels in motion and public has to just come along for the ride. I hope and pray that Obama has our best interest in mind while he's in there, only time will tell. But one thing that is getting worse is the disrespect people show for this country and it's commander-in-chief, no matter who is president at the time that person deserves the respect and support of it's people. I'm not saying you have agree with everything the president does but I think most can agree that the prez wants to do the right thing.

I have seen people like you before when I lived in Europe, you believe, this is using your words, "you earn negative bias from intelligent people? What exactly do you mean by that? I know what you mean I just like to hear you leftists actually speak the truth about the agenda you all hold, the plain truth of the matter is, your man Obama is a naked Marxist who with the help of a complicit government media establishment hoodwinked the American people into believing he was something else. Now I understand this is akin to blasphemy to the legions of Obama Kool Aid drinkers like you, but as you said about Olberman and Shiver Up My Legs Mathews, (who by the way must seem like a fag even to you) it is for the moment a free country. We will see how long it remains free under your guy Obama, perhaps in the future I can be drummed up on hate speech charges for a posting like this, for criticizing our "Dear Leader".
Now in finishing this off let be clear and unequivocal, I want Obama to fail very much, because quite simply, if he succeeds he will have implemented socialism to this country. His failure ensures Americas continued success as a free and independent nation.
Keep up the good work, lets show the nation what true Obama Maniacs are really about.

I certainly do care about the multitude of babies killed around the world. However, I am more accountable to God and country for the fact that MY nation is killing the helpless unborn. I do not want babies, either born or unborn, to be killed. Yet, I am greatly troubled that my tax dollars are used for this purpose, and that I have little or no say in the matter. Oh, wait. I do have a say. It is called voting, which is the very least which I can do to voice my opposition to the shameful practice of abortion in America.

You have my permission to label me as "ignorant" (your word) or uninformed. I really think that I am neither. That is beside the point. I do not have to know too much in order to recognize murder when it is described to me. And, abortion is murder. Has it ever crossed your mind that our current economic fiasco may well be a part of God's punishment on America for the decades of wanton murder of the helpless unborn? I am more and more convinced that the overturn of Roe vs Wade must be accomplished through the direct action of a sovereign God. Ronald Reagan promised to do it. Daddy George was half-hearted about it. George W promised to do it. In 20 collective years among them, they were thus far unable to get it done. Why God Himself has not simply put an end to it is not mine to say. However, He may be using our collective crises in order to prove us as a nation. So far, it seems that we are failing. Everything is falling apart. Perhaps, through this path, God will cause Americans (both individually and collectively) to turn ultimately to the Christ Who holds all things together (Colossians 1).

FYI, you keep misquoting Palin. You are stating: Latest quote from Palin "I DONT CARE WHAT THE PUBLIC OPINION IS ABOUT ME... I HAVE HERE TO SERVE THE AMERICAN PUBLIC..."

She actually said, "But here's a little news flash for all those reporters and commentators: I'm not going to Washington to seek their good opinion," she said. "I'm going to Washington to serve the people of this country."

She is actually referring to "reporters and commentators", not the general "public".

Is privacy dead?
It seems that a great majority of the American people are asking this question. What happened to privacy, especially where family is concerned? I don't care if you are the president or vice president of the United States, there is a limiT to what the media should and shouldn't publish. As far as Sarah Palin's daughter being pg, unfortunately things like this do happen, but the privacy of the family should be respected, after all this is a FAMILY MATTER. Not the business of the entire United States and then some. Imagine how this young 17 year old girl must feel. What the press is doing to her will follow her for the rest of her life and is VERY unfair. And as far as what happened some 20 years ago, c'mon, 20 years?? Do people make mistakes, do people change? People shouldn't throw stones at others until they examine themselves first. This Governor of Alaska is a strong, persistent, woman and would make a VERY GOOD VP. She has a strong stand against abortion, (which is murder in God's eyes) and for Marriage between a man and a woman (also instituted by God) and she is not afraid to pray in public! She will not be intimidated! America needs more people in public office like this! Senator McCain also takes a stand for the right moral values and hopefully can and will change the Roe vs Wade decision. With the help of all of the conservatives and evangelical Christians in America, WE CAN CHANGE AMERICA FOR THE BETTER!

I don't think it is anyone's business that the Gov's daughter is pg. That is a family matter and not America's business. That is private!
And as far as something that happened 20 years ago!!! C'mon! This woman is a mover and a shaker and stands for the right things. NO ABORTION!! MARRIAGE BETWEEN A MAN AND A WOMAN and is NOT AFRAID TO PRAY IN PUBLIC! She stands up for what she believes and is not intimidated. God bless her.

I don't know Alaska's law, but I believe in some states if the boyfriend was 18 and Palin's daughter was 17 he could be charged with rape. This would put him on the child molester list for life.
